PARKVIEW APARTMENTS & PROPERTIES
Parkview Apartments & Properties has been owned and managed by the Blogoslawski Family since 1946. In the 1940's, Ann Blogoslawski began to acquire properties on the same block as the Blogoslawski family home and managed the properties herself. The current owner, Dr. Walter Blogoslawski, learned from his mother's example and training and he actively manages the properties today. Many residents remain for several years with some having been tenants for 40+years. This has created a strong feeling of family. One tenant, seeing pictures being taken for this website, feared that the buildings were to be sold and came out to say how very much she loves living there and treasures her friendships with the other tenants. She was much relieved to learn that the photos were just for advertising purposes!
All properties are close to I-84, Downtown New Britain, Central Connecticut State University and are across the street from Walnut Hill Park. The park features a concert band shell, rose garden, walking trails, and The Hospital of Central CT at New Britain General. The properties are just one block away from the New Britain Museum of American Art so there is much to do within walking distance. A drive of just a few blocks brings one to the center of New Britain or to I-84 and an easy commute to Hartford, the Westfarms Mall, and the surrounding area. Parkview Apartments & Properties now consist of a 12-unit handsome red brick structure featuring large bright rooms, hardwood floors throughout, free parking, a laundry room, and a superintendent on site. There are one- and two- bedroom rentals in this building at 223-225 West Main Street that faces the beautiful Walnut Hill Park. Next to the apartment building, at 229 West Main Street, is a stand-alone brick rental property. This building is presently rented as living space but can easily be converted into office use and has 9 free off-steet parking spaces. Moving down the block to 199 West Main Street one finds a beautiful large home that was the Blogoslawski family home now converted into three apartment rental areas. These apartments reflect the gracious ambiance of a home with large rooms, hardwood floors throughout, and oversized windows that let in light and beautiful views of the park across the street. Behind this house well down in the back is the property known as 199 West Main -Rear. This building consists of two apartments and two garages with both apartments having a lovely woodland view. There is ample free off street parking for residents of both 199 West Main Street properties. All properties are cared for by an on-site superintendent and are renovated and updated. Today they receive the same attention and care provided since the 1940's when Parkview Apartments and Properties was first made a reality by Mrs. Ann Blogoslawski. |
